Concept
Players receive individual skill development instruction over 10 week period. The one ice curriculum is designed to progressively improve a player’s overall skill level in skating, puck handling and shooting.
The program is designed and implemented by professional skills coach Cam Severson.
The On Ice Curriculum
Professional Power Skating Instruction – Edge control, balance, acceleration, stride extension, transition, and agility.
Shooting Instruction – Basic mechanics, accuracy, quick release, shoot-to-score, shooting in motion.
Passing: Puck Control – Passing control, stick handling in traffic, puck protection, evasive puck moves.
Goaltender Instruction – Rebound control, angles, shot anticipation.
Optional Dry Land Option
This year our program is adding an optional dry land component to the curriculum, this is an option offered during the registration process. The cost will be $75.00 for the entire 10 Week Program, or $12.00 for a drop- in session. Sessions will be run by CDA Academy strength coach Darin Schumacher in the CDA Academy Training facility across the parking lot from Frontier Arena.

6:15 pm – 7:45 pm (Thursdays in April, Wednesdays in May and June)
Dryland 5:00 PM- 5:45 PM
Dates: April 12th, 19th, 26th, May 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, June 6th, 13th
