Compete Battle Camp Spring Hockey Evaluation/Identification Camp
2016 Compete Hockey will be offering an Evaluation/Identification camp for their Spring Hockey Program in coordinate with their Christmas Break Battle Clinic. Players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of Competes Head Coaches, to either be invited to the first practice weekend for an additional tryout or offered a guaranteed spring roster spot. The game of hockey is ultimately made up of multiple 1 vs 1 battles throughout the entire game. 1 vs 1 situations happen in the defensive zone, offensive zone, on the boards, and in front of the net both offensively and defensively. The team that wins more of these 1 vs 1 battles usually ends up winning the game. Players that exhibit good 1 vs 1 battle skills offensively usually end up with multiple scoring chances throughout the game. Players that constantly win 1 vs 1 battles in the defensive zone give their teams a chance to win games. With the combination of good 1 vs 1 battle skills and good work ethic, teams win more games. That is why Compete Hockey Schools have designed a camp to cover both of these important aspects of hockey. _____________________________________________________________ Camp Curriculum:
Groups: Group 2 (Birth years) Group 3 (Birth years) * Compete Will NOT Be Offering Spring Teams for the 2000, 2001 and 2002 birth years. Compete 2017 Spring Teams will be offered to the 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003 birth year players only.
Times: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (Group 2) 2:45 PM - 4:15 PM (Group 3) * 1.5 Hours of ice time per group per day.
Price Information: $220 per player $198 Early Bird Discount $150 per Goalie **Early Bird Special: Register and Pay in Full by November 1st and receive a 10% Discount.
