Compete Offers In Season Team Training and Consulting
Tuesday, September 8, 2015 - Submitted by Compete Hockey
Compete Hockey is excited to announce their brand new in season individual skill development program. The program is catered to individual teams at all levels from Mites to Midgets.
"Players work hard all summer to improve their individual skill level in skating, puck control and shooting. When the season starts, coaches have a tendency to focus on the system aspects of hockey like power play formation, defensive zone coverage, faceoff formations or the fore check. Players will lose a level of the skill they worked so hard in the off season to improve. This program is geared towards maintaining and improving that so important team skill level" Cam Severson Compete Hockey President
Program Logistics:
Team sessions will be run by professional skills coach and Compete Hockey School President Cam Severson.
Teams will have the option of scheduling Weekly, Bi Weekly, or Monthly sessions.
Coaches will be offered in season consultation throughout the season pertaining to practice plans, drills, or questions on hockey systems.
The session curriculum’s main focus will be hockey specific power skating.
Coaches may request other team skills like Scoring Tactics, Passing, Shooting, as well as 1 vs 1 Battle Drills and Body Contact instruction.
